Teacher's Assistant Program (T.A.P.)

LINX Theater performers in middle or high school may apply to be a participant in the LINX Theater Teacher's Assistant Program (T.A.P.)

The T.A.P. program is for ambitious LINX Theater performers who want to professionally share their expertise by helping younger students make the most of their theatrical journey. It is a wonderful opportunity for performers to gain and improve leadership skills in an activity they are already passionate about. As a T.A.P., performers will be expected to help their director by:

  • Taking initiative
  • Encouraging students to listen and focus
  • Helping to manage behavior
  • Participating and assisting where needed before, during, and after class
  • Communicating professionally with students and the director
  • Engaging with students during down time
  • Becoming a reassuring presence for young actors

Each T.A.P. is assigned to one weekly LINX Theater class. These classes include Kidservatory, Showstoppers, Company Level I or II, Broadway Level I or II, or our Recreational Theater classes. If old enough, a performer may be eligible to assist in a Company/Broadway Level III class.

Each T.A.P. is personally selected and assigned by the LINX Theater faculty.

Not all who apply to T.A.P. will be accepted.

Please note: Every student accepted into the T.A.P. program is required to attend a free training session from 3:00-4:00pm on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Please RSVP to attend by registering in the Register Now box on the right of this page.
